Arrival at Muscat International Airport. After passport control and baggage claim, you will be met by your driver in the arrivals hall. Drive to your hotel and check-in. Overnight in Muscat
Visit to the Barka Fish Market, a traditional local fish market located in Barka. Here you will see numerous species of fish - tuna, shrimp, kingfish and many more. Continue to the Ain Thawara hot spring, which is located in the middle of the date gardens in the foothills of the Al Hajar Mountains. Visit the Al Hazm Fort, one of the most beautiful Omani forts. This fort was built completely without ceiling rafters. The roofs are held in place by columns, and the walls are no less than three meters wide. Visit the National Museum, Oman's premier cultural institution that showcases the country's national cultural heritage from the earliest human settlements on the Oman Peninsula about two million years ago to the present day. Overnight at the hotel in Muscat.
Breakfast. You will start the day with a city tour (around 09:30). Visit the impressive grand mosque built of sandstone and marble. A magnificent Swarowski chandelier and a huge hand-knotted Persian carpet adorn the main prayer hall. Continue to the Muttrah Souq, a traditional oriental bazaar. Let yourself be enchanted by the lively atmosphere and the scent of incense and spices. Afterwards visit to the Bait Al Zubair Museum in the old town of Muscat. The private museum is known for its fine collection of traditional jewelry, weapons, and clothing. Continue to a photo stop at Al Alam Palace, the Sultan's palace. Enjoy the sunset on an approximately 2-hour boat trip along the Muscat coast. On the way back to the hotel, stop at the Royal Opera House for a photo stop and drive through the government and embassy district. (Lunch at a local restaurant included during the tour). Dinner free and overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, you will leave Muscat and head inland. Visit Jabrin Castle, one of the most beautiful palaces in Oman with its winding hallways, hidden staircases, and beautifully decorated interiors. We continue to Al Hamra. Then it goes with four-wheel drive vehicles high up to the Jebel Shams, the "Mountain of the Sun". There you can enjoy the view of the "Grand Canyon". On the way, lunch at a local restaurant. Continue to Nizwa, the former capital of the Sultanate of Oman. Visit to the Nizwa Souq. This is located near the walls of the famous Nizwa Fort. Its building incorporates both traditional and modern architectural lines. In its many alleys and areas, local traders and artisans have settled in the Nizwa Souq for hundreds of years. Even today you can still find copper crafts, dagger making, weaving mills as well as traders of cattle, fish, vegetables and much more. Overnight in Nizwa.
Breakfast. After breakfast we drive to the "Sinaw Thursday Market", which, as the name suggests, takes place every Thursday. A very busy Bedouin market selling food, livestock and handicrafts. From here you will continue to a "local private house". Enjoy a lunch traditionally prepared by the family. After the lunch break, visit the ancient ruins of the ancient community of Al Mansfah, located near Ibra. Our journey continues towards the sandy desert, the "Wahiba Sands". Four-wheel drive vehicles will take you to your camp. Dinner and overnight in the desert
After breakfast, you will return to the bus in the 4x4 vehicles. You will continue to Wadi Bani Khalid, which contrasts sharply with the desert with its natural pools and green spaces. Afterward, continue to the coastal town of Sur and visit the dhow factory. Drive to Ras Al Hadd and check in at the hotel. Breakfast and drive to Sur, where you will set off on a short city tour. Afterwards we go along the coast back to Muscat. On the way you will stop at the beautiful Wadi Tiwi. Late lunch at Wadi Shab Resort. You will then head towards the "Bimah sinkhole", which is a geological formation of the karst topography and a scenic wonder. From here it goes back to Muscat via the coastal road. Once there, transfer to your extension hotel or airport (without a tour guide) or back to the standard hotel, where you can freshen up for your return or onward flight. Possibility of dinner at the hotel (optional, not included); Stay without a tour guide). 3 hours before departure transfer to the airport at Wadi Shab Resort, you will then head towards the "Bimah sinkhole", a geological formation of karst topography and a scenic wonder. From here it goes back to Muscat via the coastal road. Once there, transfer to your extension hotel or airport (without a tour guide) or back to the standard hotel, where you can freshen up for your return or onward flight.
